Day 29: Window

This is my sister's kitchen window, and you can see the sea the other side of the wall. It was terrible weather and all you could hear was the wind howling and the waves crashing. Forgive the salt incrusted panes, it's a downside to living so close

26th January - Fun Stuff

What can I say? I think she's fun stuff. This is Amy trying on her birthday pressies in the middle of the restaurant. I think she's got a party going on in her head 24/7

25th January - A Taste of Summer/Winter

Winter in my part of the world this year has been wet and grey.

I could've given you plenty of puddles, but this image, taken on my dog walk earlier, sums up things up for me, stark and beautiful

24th January - My Space

This represents where my head space is at the moment. Before being made redundant I went to a team workshop where I was shown how to paint with oils.

This image represents the moment of realisation, everything was going to be ok, things were getting back to normal.

So this is 'my space' and I look at it often, with pride of a job well done and a reminder that things are good

23rd of January - Bedtime

I was working on my sewing machine and heard a terrible noise; thought it was broken until I turned and saw this fellow, fast asleep and snoring his head off!

It was definitely his bedtime.

22nd January - Nice

I knew that today would have to be food related for me. I'm a little bit obsessed with it, taking pictures of it, posting them, attempting to win the losing weight battle linked with being obsessed with it...... You get the picture, no pun intended. However, I do take (even though I say so myself) a pretty good food picture. Here was my dinner last night.

Beef casserole with carrots, onions and wilted spinach, served with new potatoes in their skins and asparagus. In Slimming World terms, Syn free and gorgeously nice!

21st January - Blue

I bought some props for 'Colourful' earlier in the month and set this image up then. Was surprised and touched when I found 'More Love'

18th January - Happy Place

I'm happiest when I'm making something. Today's it's sewing, tomorrow it could be crochet, embroidery or cross-stitch. It's helped me through some bad times.

17th January : Tiny

16th January: Sun

Anyone living in the UK, seeing this prompt and knowing what the British weather is like at the moment,  must have groaned. I was sat in the back of the car, explaining Photo A Day to my parents, and bemoaning that fact, as the windscreen wipers went into overdrive, would be nigh on impossible. As I looked out of the windscreen though from the back seat, I refocussed and it hit me!

15th January: Black + White

I wasn't sure about black and white, did a bit of googling and it seems images with texture or repetition of pattern work best. Think this works.

The other image I had was this one. Which do you prefer?

14th January - Three Things

Today's prompt was 'take a photo of any 3 things. They might belong together or they might be totally random'

I came up with three things which are exactly the same, but totally different, the strength of the brew!  How do you take yours?

13th January - Makes Me Smile

I know, very cliched but my German Shepherd Fritz makes me smile (sometimes in frustration admittedly!) This was taken when I was recuperating from a major operation, with my iPhone. Just love the perspective of this image, all nose.

12th January - Colourful

I knew what I wanted my picture today, but was stuck as its a very dreary and wet day, nothing popped out as colourful. That was until I saw these foam letters in a craft shop and knew exactly what I needed to do.

Set up a mini studio on my kitchen unit and ta dah! Think it fits the brief.
